Terms and Conditions
1. Promoters
This competition is jointly promoted by:

Together referred to within these terms and conditions as the “Promoters”.
Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms will manage the collection of competition entries and personal information submitted through the competition entry form.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Promoters, prize providers or any organisation directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
2.3 The selected winner may be required to provide proof of their age, identity and eligibility.
2.4 The winner must be able to nominate a child who meets Edinburgh Rugby’s eligibility and participation requirements for the mascot place.
2.5 The winner must be the child’s parent or legal guardian or have the full consent of the child’s parent or legal guardian.
3. How to Enter
3.1 Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
3.2 To enter, participants must complete and submit the official competition entry form provided by the Promoters.
3.3 Entrants must provide their full name, email address, telephone number and any other mandatory information requested on the entry form.
3.4 Only one entry per person is permitted.
3.5 Duplicate, incomplete, illegible, automated, fraudulent or incorrectly submitted entries may be rejected.
3.6 Internet access and a suitable device may be required where entry is made through a QR code or online form.
4. Competition Period
4.1 The competition will open at 9:00am on Thursday 16 July 2026.
4.2 The competition will close at 5:00pm on Sunday 19 July 2026.
4.3 All times stated are UK local time.
4.4 Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.
4.5 The Promoters accept no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, corrupted or not successfully submitted because of technical faults, network failure or circumstances outside their reasonable control.
5. Prize
5.1 There will be one winner.
5.2 The winner will receive the following combined prize:
Musselburgh Racecourse prize
One family pass to the Superhero Family Raceday at Musselburgh Racecourse on Tuesday 21 July 2026.
The exact number and type of admissions included within the family pass will be confirmed by Musselburgh Racecourse.
Edinburgh Rugby prize
One mascot place and four Category One tickets for:
Edinburgh Rugby v DHL Stormers
Friday 2 October 2026
Kick-off: 7:45pm
Hive Stadium, Edinburgh
5.3 The mascot place must be used by a child who meets the age, safeguarding, availability and participation requirements provided by Edinburgh Rugby.
5.4 The winner and the nominated child must follow all reasonable instructions issued by Edinburgh Rugby in connection with the mascot experience.
5.5 If the winner cannot nominate an eligible child, the mascot element may be forfeited or offered to an alternative winner at the Promoters’ discretion.
5.6 The dates and times of sporting events may be changed due to circumstances outside the Promoters’ control. The winner will be advised of any confirmed changes.
5.7 Unless expressly stated otherwise, travel, accommodation, meals, refreshments, insurance, spending money and other costs associated with accepting or using the prize are not included.
5.8 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.
5.9 The prize may not be sold, advertised for sale, exchanged or used for commercial purposes.
5.10 If any element of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoters’ reasonable control, the Promoters may provide an appropriate substitute prize of equal or greater value.
5.11 Entry to Musselburgh Racecourse and Hive Stadium remains subject to the relevant venue’s admission conditions and codes of conduct.
6. Winner Selection
6.1 The draw will take place on Sunday 19 July 2026, shortly after the competition closes.
6.2 The winner will be selected at random from all valid and eligible entries.
6.3 The draw will be conducted using a verifiably random process or under the supervision of an independent person.
6.4 The Promoters’ decision regarding entry eligibility, the administration of the draw and the selection of the winner is final.
7. Winner Notification
7.1 The winner will be contacted directly by Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms and/or Musselburgh Racecourse using the telephone number or email address supplied on the entry form.
7.2 Initial attempts will be made to contact the winner on Sunday 19 July 2026.
7.3 The winner must respond and confirm acceptance of the prize by 12:00 noon on Monday 20 July 2026.
7.4 The winner may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to confirm their identity, eligibility and acceptance of the prize.
7.5 If the selected winner:
• cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts;
• does not respond by the stated deadline;
• is found to be ineligible;
• has provided incorrect or misleading information; or
• is unable or unwilling to accept the prize,
the Promoters reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner at random.
7.6 Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms, Musselburgh Racecourse and Edinburgh Rugby will work together to arrange and provide the relevant parts of the prize.
8. Winner Information and Publicity
8.1 The Promoters may make available information demonstrating that a valid prize award took place, normally the winner’s surname and county.
8.2 Entrants may object to their information being published or request that the amount of information published is reduced by contacting Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms.
8.3 The Promoters may still be required to provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority or another relevant regulator upon request.
8.4 Any photographs, interviews, social media content or other publicity involving the winner or nominated mascot will only be arranged with the appropriate prior agreement and parental or guardian consent.
9. Personal Data and Competition Administration
9.1 Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms will collect the personal information submitted through the competition entry form.
9.2 Competition entry information may be used to:
• record and validate entries;
• administer the competition;
• conduct the prize draw;
• contact the winner;
• verify the winner’s eligibility;
• arrange delivery and fulfilment of the prize;
• prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries;
• respond to competition-related enquiries or complaints; and
• demonstrate that the competition was administered fairly.
9.3 Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms may share relevant entrant or winner information with Musselburgh Racecourse and Edinburgh Rugby where reasonably necessary to administer the competition or fulfil the prize.
9.4 Information necessary for the administration of the competition will be processed regardless of whether an entrant chooses to receive marketing communications.
9.5 Entry into the competition is not conditional upon agreeing to receive marketing communications.
9.6 Competition administration information will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the competition, fulfil the prize, resolve complaints and meet applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
9.7 The Promoters will maintain appropriate data-sharing arrangements governing the secure transfer, permitted use, retention and protection of personal information shared between them.
10. Optional Marketing Communications
10.1 Entrants may separately choose to receive marketing communications from Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms and Edinburgh Rugby.
10.2 These choices are voluntary. Entrants may enter the competition without agreeing to receive marketing communications.
10.3 Marketing consent will be collected through separate, actively selected and unticked opt-in boxes.
10.4 Entrants who opt in to Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms marketing may receive news, offers, competitions, home-improvement inspiration and other relevant communications.
10.5 Entrants who opt in to the Edinburgh Rugby e-zine consent to Generation Kitchens & Bathrooms securely sharing their name and email address with Edinburgh Rugby.
10.6 Edinburgh Rugby may use this information to provide its marketing e-zine, including club news, fixture and ticket information, competitions, events, partner offers and other relevant communications.
10.7 Marketing information will only be shared and used for the purposes covered by the entrant’s consent.
10.8 Entrants may withdraw their consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the relevant organisation’s communications.
10.9 Withdrawing consent will not affect an entrant’s competition entry or eligibility to win.
11. Disqualification
11.1 The Promoters may disqualify any entrant where they reasonably believe that the entrant has:
• breached these terms and conditions;
• submitted false or misleading information;
• attempted to interfere with or manipulate the entry process;
• submitted multiple entries using different details;
• used an automated entry system; or
• otherwise acted fraudulently or unfairly.
12. Changes, Suspension or Cancellation
12.1 The Promoters reserve the right to suspend, amend, extend or cancel the competition where circumstances outside their reasonable control make this necessary.
12.2 Any amendment will not unfairly disadvantage entrants who have already entered.
12.3 Material changes will be communicated through the same channels used to promote the competition, where reasonably practicable.
13. Liability
13.1 Nothing within these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13.2 Subject to clause 13.1, the Promoters will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside their reasonable control or from a winner’s failure to comply with the conditions attached to the prize.
13.3 The Promoters do not guarantee that the competition website, entry form, QR code or electronic system will always be available or free from technical errors.
14. Social Media
14.1 Where the competition is advertised through Facebook, Instagram or another social media platform, the competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with that platform.
14.2 Entrants release the relevant social media platform from responsibility connected with the competition to the extent permitted by law.
15. Acceptance of the Terms
15.1 By submitting an entry, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
15.2 A copy of the terms and conditions will remain reasonably accessible throughout the competition period.
16. Governing Law
16.1 These terms and conditions are governed by Scots law.
16.2 Entrants may bring legal proceedings in the Scottish courts or, where applicable, the courts within the part of the United Kingdom in which they live.
